Ferguson Plain is an Ojibway artist from the Aamjiwnaang First Nations community in Sarnia Ontario Canada.Ferguson is self-taught and all his works are based on Ojibwa culture. He combines elements of realism and mysticism in his drawings and paintings and uses various mediums including acrylic,graphite,pen and ink. Ferguson's artwork has been on display in many galleries since 1980. Ferguson recieved his teaching certificate from Northbay University.He is a teacher of NativeEducation since 1990. In 1993, two of Ferguson's books, little White Cabin and Amikoonse were chosen as "Our Choice "by the Canadian Children's Book Centre.Also in 1993 Ferguson was awarded the Commemorative Medal for his significant contribution to Canada.
